THE RENOVATIONS:

Here is the kitchen getting the new flooring.

The hallway got all new drywall, paint and lighting.

Our original intention in updating the suite was to tile the bathroom floor. Upon further investigation, we found moldy floor boards and poor plumbing and wiring. The entire bathroom/laundry rooms were gutted and combined. We treated the floors and walls for mold. replaced all existing lumber including the wall between the bathroom and hallway and started from scratch.

Here is the old laundry room.

This is the gutted view of the old laundry room.

This is the view of the old bathroom. It was really tiny and cramped.

Here we are installing new insulation, vapour barrier and cedar planks to create the new bathroom.

This storage area is found off of the larger bedroom.

Here the storage closet is getting drywalled. We put insulation and drywall to reduce noise between the floors in October 2006.
